Sometimes It’s Just Real Life :: The R Family

I adore this family. Not only is that beautiful woman my sister, but the kids are just adorable! And Mike’s not too bad either. We met this day just before a huge storm hit, so the lighting was particularly unusual, but a lot of fun. Downside to pre-storm clouds, though, is the wind. But we made it work! I got a lot of what I like to call “Real Life” pictures, which often end up being my favorites! They’re the last couple in the series. Enjoy!

Charles and Tatiana :: MARRIED

Yup. I’m a bit behind again on blogging! But I’ll get there! I had a blast spending the day with this fantastic couple. They were married just a couple weeks ago in the Mount Timpanogos Temple.

Ben and Meridith :: Engaged!

It’s always a blast when I get to shoot a friend’s pictures! Meridith and I have been best of friends since… 4th grade? So crazy! Now the girl’s getting married, and I couldn’t be more excited for her. Ben–you are one lucky guy. And from what I’ve heard–Meridith’s pretty darn lucky, too!

I fell in love with these doors the moment I saw them, and I love how all the colors turned out! Yum.

They kept trying to sneak in a tango… Sillies.

Heh heh heh. This was an interesting shot to set up and take. Probably the fastest one ever. Cars don’t wait, you know!

Zach :: OHS Senior 2010

Mr. Hotty-Pants here is my little brother! I can’t believe he’ll be graduating this year! It feels like just yesterday that I was getting ready to close the door on my high school experience! (Of course, my husband would joke that is WAS just yesterday…) But anyhoo–he and I went on a little adventure to get some senior pictures, and we had a blast! I nearly peed my pants several times we were laughing so much.

There was a lot more of this (below) than you would guess from the pictures up here. I couldn’t post ALL the funny ones!

This was him informing me of the “Pigeon poop…” that could possibly land on him at any moment. It didn’t–luckily.

High jumper extraordinaire!

He was looking down at some van driving out of the parking lot, but it looks so debonair–I had to keep it!

Josh and Julie :: Married!

They’ve tied the knot! And what a gorgeous couple they make, too! And holy smokes–when I first put together the pictures I wanted to post, there were more than SIXTY. I usually try and keep my posts below 20 pictures, but I snuck 25 in here. Is snuck even a word?

I love this laughing series. I just love when people laugh. Period.

Warm yummy light. Love it. And her bracelet. Sigh.

What’s funnier than a pregnant lady taking wedding pictures? A pregnant lady lying in the gutter taking wedding pictures.

While getting some “walking into the distance” shots, I called them back to do it one more time, and when they turned around they started struttin’ their stuff! Turns out those shots are my favorite from the walking series. Love it.

Reception time!

I absolutely adored the lilies. Yum.

Josh and Julie realized that many things are harder than they look–particularly when there is a huge crowd watching you! For example: putting a ring on someone else’s finger, cutting wedding cake, and throwing a bouquet. These things are tricky, people! Also–their cake smashing was epic. There’s only one shot of the smashing action in this quad (notice how they cleverly try and make the other think they’re going to be nice…), but I’m sure you can fill in the rest. Josh and Julie–look forward to some fun cake pictures!

Congratulations, again, Josh and Julie! I hope your first couple weeks of marriage have been deliriously wonderful!

John and Melisa :: 3 Years!

You may recognize these two from the previous post… They wanted some pictures of the two of them not in their wedding garb as well, so we met up a little later in the day to take these!

This next one was actually meant as more of a joke, but I like how it turned out! There were SO many pigeons perched above them on this wall. We’re lucky we remained poop-free!

This next one makes me laugh. This shot was actually just to check my exposure, but I love John’s expression. There were probably pigeons above them here, too…
